Description
Apply directly to birds or sprinkle generously in nest boxes, over bedding, and in dust baths. This allows the powder to be applied directly to the birds while also treating their environment.
For best results, apply the powder to the corners, cracks, and crevices of the housing where mites and other pests may hide.
During an infestation, apply the product immediately, repeat after 3 days, and then continue with weekly applications as part of your regular cleaning routine.
For effective control of the ongoing threat of mites and lice, we recommend the following weekly 3-step programme:
Thoroughly clean out the coop using soap and water. For a deeper clean, use Nettex Virocur Disinfectant (DEFRA approved for use against poultry diseases). Remove all faeces, soiled bedding, and other debris before allowing the housing to dry.
Spray the entire coop with Nettex Total Mite Kill Ready To Use Solution to disinfect the housing and eradicate mites. The product contains a coating agent that continues to act on mites after drying, so always shake well before use. Do not apply this product directly to birds-it is for housing only. Ensure treated areas are well ventilated and completely dry before returning birds to the coop. For hard-to-reach areas such as cracks and crevices, use Nettex Total Mite Kill Spray Aerosol.
Apply Nettex Total Hygiene Powder generously over bedding, perches, nest boxes, and in dust baths before adding fresh bedding. When treating lice or Northern Fowl Mite, use Nettex Louse Powder instead.
